Ordering Fuel Costs

Getting a quote (seems to) return the same price at all FBOs.

Weight conversion is the same for 100LL and JetA, at 1 gal = 2.687 kg (or 5,000 kg = 1,861 gal).

Ordering only 5,000 kg imposes a v$0.20/kg (v$0.54/gal) penalty.

If you’re only flying small planes, like the Cessna 172 with it’s 54 gal tank, even the smallest purchase will last forever. However, a bigger plane, like the Cessna CJ4 with its 860 gal tank will drink down that smallest purchase in ~12 fill ups.

So purchasing in bulk (i.e. >=10,000 kg at a time) is ideal, but the question remains is how to transport it out to your other FBOs.
