  • Robert worked for a number of years at the Old First National Bank in Concord (now First Capitail Bank) starting as a Messenger and working up to Cashier. He resigned from the bank and went to work as Secretary of the NH Retirement System at its inception in 1945. He worked there until his retirement in 1970. He is a member of the First Congregational Church in Concord.
    Bob was very active in sports and participated in football, hockey, swimming, boxing, bowling, and golfing. For many years he was ranked with the top bowlers in NH. He has also been an active member of the Wonolancet Club and Passaconway Club. He served for many years for the Draft Board; prior, during and after World War II. He is a former Director of the NH State Employees Federal Credit Union (now the NH Federal Credit Union) in Concord, NH. Robert has lived in Concord since 1899. From 1899-1928 at 15 Essex Street; 1928 until a short time after the death of his wife, at 58 Church Street. He sold his home and moved and to the home of Mrs. Eva Jennings, 2-A Prospect Street where he lived in 1989. He lived with his daughter, Roberta Young, for a while. Since of March of 1992 is at the McKerley's Harris Hill Nursing Home, 10 Tremont Street, Penacook, NH 03303
