    During the Revolutionary War, Justus Brockway served in the 4th Regiment of the Albany County, New York Militia, under Col. Kilian Van Rensselaer and Capt. Stephen Niles. He married Alse Gardner in 1772. They came to Stephentown, NY from Connecticut and had 11 children (6 boys and 5 girls).
    The Brockway Cemetery, in Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., NY is located 50 feet south of Jones Road on Madden Road. It is on the edge of a field against a fence at the right side of the road.
